Elements of Hell: A Satanic Cleansing Ritual

This is a ritual I have created for those who are sick of LHP and Satanic cleansings being weird lazy inversions of Right-Hand Path rituals such as the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. Popular cleansing rituals are not constructed with the Satanist in mind. We are on a current all our own, and it is important that we are not performing rituals which banish the very energies we are trying to invoke.

Therefore, I have created this ritual here, which uses the four elements and Satan’s power. I recommend doing this ritual at least once monthly. If you like, you can pair it with a particular moon phase to boost the ritual. This ritual is best done during a waning moon, or whenever you need a deep cleanse.

For the Elements of Hell cleansing rite, you will need the following materials:

1. a chalice or cup

2. an athame or ritual knife

3. sulfur (fire)

4. black salt (earth)

5. water (unholy water if you have it)

6. incense ash (air)

7. candles, incense, whatever you use to set up sacred space

You will also need to perform this ritual in a sacred space, and be close to a bathroom with a working shower. Make sure that you will not be disturbed while performing this ritual. The cleansing aspects of this ceremony are meant to be performed skyclad (naked) so make sure you have the level of privacy you need to comfortably complete this rite.

Begin at the altar or sacred space, and invoke Satan. This can be done with a simple prayer, an unspoken conscious energy shift, or a long-winded invocation, depending on the style of your practice. Really all that matters is that you are consciously including Lord Satan in your ritual, and He is there to protect and guide you during the ceremony. You are also welcome to call in any Daemons that you work with and trust. If you are cleansing yourself of something specific, now is the perfect time to state clearly and decisively what you are cleansing and banishing off of your person and spirit. Here is an example of an invocation and statement of intent for this ritual:

From the darkest shadows deep below,
I call You, Who carries the torch betwixt Your horns.
Rise up from Gehenna, O Ha-Shaitan!
Aid me to puncture angels’ eyes!
Sever any chains which bind me!
Rid me of energetic toxins,
and protect me from false friends.
In nomine dei nostri Satanas Luciferi excelsi!

Once you have invoked Satan, pour the water into the chalice. Hold the chalice in your hands and invoke the element of water, telling it what role it must play in your cleansing. An example:

“Arise great Leviathan from the darkest depths of the sea! May this water drown and wash away all that which I banish.”

For added emphasis, you may even turn and face the direction you associate with the element of water. Traditionally in Western esotericism, the direction of water is west. (Although you should always prefer what makes sense. I happen to live right on the east coast where I can easily walk to the ocean’s edge. Therefore it makes much more sense for me to invoke water in the east.)

You then follow through the rest of the ingredients and their respective elements, adding them into the chalice.

For those who would like to us Daemonic names for each element, this is my personal correspondence: Leviathan for water, Pazuzu for air, Behemoth for earth, and Abaddon for fire. If you have your own elemental Daemonic names, then use your own correspondence as it will likely be more effective for you.

Now with your water (yes I know it’s murky and smelly) you are going to anoint your body. I usually like to get my third eye, behind my neck, my heart, and the area above my reproductive organs. If there is any tension or strange feeling on your body, make sure you anoint those areas. You can ask for protection and healing from Satan as you anoint. From this step into the next, I like to play the Hymn of Consecration by Sabbath Assembly.

In the shower, pour the chalice over your body and then wash your body with the intention of being fully rid of whatever was troubling you. After you dry off, you may dress and return to the altar to give thanks. If you would like to do the empowerment portion of the ritual, follow the instructions in the second part of the video above.

This ritual has helped me remove malocchio (evil/envy eye), angelic spies, lower entity attachments, mood stagnation, and energetic parasites. I have purposely left some parts of this ritual up to the individual practitioner, because each Satanist’s practice is unique to the devotee.

Take your athame and dip the blade into the cup. GENTLY use the blade to “cut” the energy off of you, beginning at your head and working your way down. As you do this, you can recite cleansing prayers such as the Lord’s Prayer in reverse. Alternatively, you can chant Satan’s enn: Tasa Reme Laris Satan, Ave Satanas, or speak vicious words to what you’re cutting away. Once you have cut off all of the energy you’d like to remove, take your chalice with you to the bathroom and prepare to take a shower.
